At the past time, Tegal City have a good art atmosphere, some old public figure claimed that the town of Tegal use to be have high artistic spirit. Actually, it happened before 1966. It was the time when artists organization strongly influences the social life of the people.
Historian Hilmar Farid said that, The true legacy of the New Order Regime: Poverty of Imagination, Political, Social, and Cultural. (LBR ; Left Book Review site | Interview with Hilmar Farid July 2013)
It is too bad if the new order regime political influence still affecting the Tegal Arts Council. This is seen, when there is a simple problem in the Arts Council internal member, instead settling that simple issue get complicated due to complex behavior. As there are gods who influenced the Arts Council. If (that) gods did not bless then the arts council life so hard.
To change this situation need strengthening the bond of the member organization, took power of young artists, the latest rise in the spirit. If there is no change at all, the arts in the tegal city will lose its atmosphere.
